Friday I was pleased to attend a CTO Peer to Peer meeting put on by the UTC. The topic was: Vista, and how your applications may need to change for it. I found the whole event very informative, and I must say, a little bit sobering. I’ll definitely be doing more posts here around Vista in general, as the biggest take away for me is that the transition is not going to be as seemless as many of us might think.
So my review: The presentation was perfect. Gritty and informative enough to convey the information needed tot he target audience, while not so completely into the nuts and bolts as to alienate anyone who has not done a lot of coding themselves on their way up. Networking aopportunities were fairly limited as compared to some other events, but that is somewhat to be expected with a room full of CTO’s. I would love to see the powerpoints from some of these events get posted somewhere on the UTC site… they were very informative. I will definitely be attending more CTO P2P’s, and letting you know my feelings on them.

Hello again… I just wanted to let everyone know that we have already filled the slots for March and April for comapnies tobe spotlighted. But don’t let scare you away from submitting! We are still actively reviewing technologies, and have no intention of booking more than two months ahead, so that we always have the flexibility to slip any anything really slick that comes across the radar. Want some free PR? Want companies in Utah to know who you are? Give us a shout… we’re all ears.

It’s alive!! (sorry, always wanted to say that)
We just finished plugin in the last pieces of the site, and I am proud to announce that we are completely live! Thanks again for everyone’s help and encouragement. We look forward to seeing everyone at the end of March. Also, let us know if there are some technologies you have or are aware of that need to get on our radar. Finally, it looks like I will be heading down to Utah First Firday tomorrow morning… so if any of you are there, be sure to say “hi”.
